There's always one movie each year I look forward too, and this year the "Dark Knight Rises" is that movie for me. This is not a type of movie I'll say "I'll wait for it to come out on Netflix. This is the movie I will brave the crowds for, sit in a broken seat, and truly enjoy the theatre experience. On July 20th you know where I will be. The film stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine just to name a few. As you can guess tickets are already sold out for the 12:01 showing at IMAX theaters.

Now let me give you some reasons why I'm looking forward to this film. Christian Bale is one heck of good looking man! I'm not to happy with his attitude in real life, but his looks make up for any personality imperfections. Then you have Anne Hathaway who looks great as Catwoman! I'm just worried she won't be able to pull of the attitude that a good Catwoman has. I really hope she is more like a Michelle Pfeiffer than a Halle Berry version (I'm not a Catwoman authority to know about the campy 60's television show). In addition, I love how she Hathaway can switch from a Audrey Hepburn looking character in the trailer below, to a black leathered dominatrix villain in the picture above. P.S. Love the boots!

Then you have Tom Hardy who is a hottie under that mask mumbling, and that worries me. It worries me a lot! However, I am going to give Christopher Nolan the benefit of the doubt on this one. He was the one who casted Heath Ledger as the Joker. If you remember Heath Ledger stared in "Brokeback Mountain" before taking the Joker role. Personally I thought Ledger was a terrible choice, until I saw the movie; and understood what a great choice he was for the part. So I'm not going to say how wrong I think Christopher Nolan is for having Hardy as a mumbling Bane. I'll have faith that I'll be surprised again by his choice.

A surprising addition to the cast of the Dark Knight Rises was Liam Neeson. I thought he died in the first film Batman Begins when the subway car crashed into the lower parking deck. Now if that was you or me, or anyone on planet Earth basically, we would be dead. I really hope it's a flashback scene and not a coming back from certain death part. It wouldn't sit well with me, and I believe that it would trade edginess for campiness.
